After almost 30 years of working as a trial lawyer, Johnny Ward decided to leave the courtroom to assist lawyers and clients in resolving their disputes prior to trial. While his law practice initially was focused on personal injury matters and other civil disputes, Mr. Ward spent the majority of his career trying intellectual property disputes. He appeared as an attorney of record in over 500 patent infringement cases, and tried close to 60 cases to a jury verdict. While some trials can’t be avoided, Mr. Ward believes that the vast majority of lawsuits can and should be resolved prior to trial. Please contact us if you’d like to schedule a mediation or if you’d like more information about Mr. Ward’s mediation practice.
What is the mission of Ward ADR?
My number one mission is to help the parties resolve their dispute, but I have an additional mission that you can help with if you hire me to mediate your dispute.
What additional mission?
Fighting housing and food insecurity in Northeast Texas.
How can mediating with Ward ADR address housing and food insecurity in East Texas?
50% of your client’s mediation fee will be paid directly to the East Texas Food Bank and/or Northeast Texas Habitat for Humanity. Your client can select either or both organizations. You can learn more about these organizations by visiting their respective websites (https://www.easttexasfoodbank.org and https://netxhabitat.org/). Both organizations are 501(c)(3) charitable organizations, so your donation should be tax deductible.
How do I know that my (or my client’s) funds are going to these charitable organizations?
Because you or your client will make their check(s) payable directly to these organizations, and you will receive a receipt directly from the organization(s) that you select to receive your donation.
